Elecciones generales Estados Unidos 2020: Donald Trump vs Joe Biden

Sen. Richard Burr Openly Admitted That He Violated the Constitution By Voting to Impeach Trump

North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr is one of seven Republicans who voted “guilty” to convict President Donald Trump on Saturday — and by his own admission, he violated the Constitution in doing so.

President Trump was acquitted on a single impeachment article of incitement of insurrection over the protest at the Capitol on January 6.

Burr, who split from Republican voters and sided with the Democrats, released a statement following his vote that contained an admission that he believes he violated the Constitution.

“When this process started, I believed that it was unconstitutional to impeach a president who was no longer in office. I still believe that to be the case. However, the Senate is an institution based on precedent, and given that the majority in the Senate voted to proceed with this trial, the question of constitutionality is now established precedent,” Burr’s statement said.

The retiring Republican added that “as an impartial juror, my role is now to determine whether House managers have sufficiently made the case for the article of impeachment against President Trump. I have listened to the arguments presented by both sides and considered the facts. The facts are clear.”

“As I said on January 6th, the President bears responsibility for these tragic events. The evidence is compelling that President Trump is guilty of inciting an insurrection against a coequal branch of government and that the charge rises to the level of high Crimes and Misdemeanors. Therefore, I have voted to convict,” Burr’s statement continued. “I do not make this decision lightly, but I believe it is necessary.

“By what he did and by what he did not do, President Trump violated his oath of office to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Burr also voted not to allow witnesses to provide testimony on Saturday.

Former President Trump’s lawyers were allotted 16 hours to make their case and only used about three.

Following Acquittal President Trump Is Set to Reemerge – Will His Plans include Republican Party and Its Backstabbers?

After surviving his second junk impeachment attempt by Nancy Pelosi and her band of wild-eyed Marxists, President Trump is reportedly set to reemerge.

Trump remains hugely popular with the Republican base. But the GOP elites are openly working to destroy him and his movement.

Mitch McConnell called for criminal prosecutions against President Trump. Not one single Republican senator spoke out against McConnell and remain more loyal to McConnell than the former president.

House Republican members made it clear where their loyalty lies when they voted for Liz Cheney over President Trump after she voted to impeach Trump and continues to smear him on national TV.

The Republican Party is a mess. They did little to nothing to defend this president when it was OBVIOUS to Trump voters that the election was stolen.

This website, The Gateway Pundit, did more to assist Trump than the GOP did over the past three months.

Despite the challenges ahead, Trump voters remain loyal to President Trump and his mission to make America safe, prosperous and free from the communist assault.

The President’s first work should be to eliminate the backstabbers from the Grand Old Party or to take their voters and launch a new populist party.

Now acquitted in his second Senate impeachment trial, Trump is preparing for the next phase of his post-presidency life. Feeling emboldened by the trial’s outcome, he is expected to reemerge from a self-imposed hibernation at his club in Palm Beach, Florida, and is eyeing ways to reassert his power.

But after being barred from Twitter, the former president lacks the social media bullhorn that fueled his political rise. And he’s confronting a Republican Party deeply divided over the legacy of his jarring final days in office, culminating in the Jan. 6 storming of the Capitol. Searing video images of the day played on loop during his impeachment trial, which ended Saturday.

Trump remains popular among the GOP base, but many Republicans in Washington have cooled to him. Never before have so many members of a president’s party — seven GOP senators, in his case — voted for his removal in a Senate trial…

…Sen. Lindsey Graham, who spoke with Trump on Saturday night, acknowledged that Trump is “mad at some folks,” but also “ready to move on and rebuild the Republican Party” and “excited about 2022.”

In their conversations, Graham has stressed to Trump, who has threatened to start his own party to punish disloyal Republicans, that the GOP needs him to win.

Biden Calls On Congress To Strengthen Gun Ownership Rules

President Joe Biden on Feb. 14 urged Congress to strengthen existing laws concerning gun ownership on the third anniversary of the mass shooting at a high school in Parkland, Florida.

“The Parkland students and so many other young people across the country who have experienced gun violence are carrying forward the history of the American journey. It is a history written by young people in each generation who challenged prevailing dogma to demand a simple truth: we can do better. And we will,” Biden said in a statement.

This Administration will not wait for the next mass shooting to heed that call. We will take action to end our epidemic of gun violence and make our schools and communities safer. Today, I am calling on Congress to enact commonsense gun law reforms, including requiring background checks on all gun sales, banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, and eliminating immunity for gun manufacturers who knowingly put weapons of war on our streets.”

In the afternoon on Feb. 14, 2018, a man identified by authorities as Nikolas Cruz, now 22, walked into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and opened fire with AR-15 rifle. The shooting left 17 dead, including 14 students. Cruz, who is currently awaiting trial, could face the death penalty.

After the shooting, a number of Parkland students and parents began agitating for stricter gun control laws, arguing Cruz shouldn’t have been able to obtain a gun. But others pointed to failures by law enforcement, including safety officer Scot Peterson, who has pleaded not guilty to criminal charges for not entering the school building to confront Cruz, and urged restraint on new measures.

Biden said during the 2020 campaign that he supports stronger gun control; last week, administration officials met with gun control advocates, including Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action, and John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters later that the administration is ready to move on the “ambitious plan” Biden laid out during the campaign.

Biden said on his campaign website that he will “defeat” the National Rifle Association (NRA). Among his proposed actions is repealing the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which protects gun manufacturers from some lawsuits, banning so-called assault weapons, as Congress did for 10 years in 1994, and forcing people to either give up certain guns and magazines or register them with the federal government.

The NRA’s lobbying arm has fired back at Biden, saying he wants to ban “America’s most popular class of centerfire rifles, as well on the factory-spec magazines for most of the defensive pistols sold in the U.S.”

“Just as when Joe Biden unsuccessfully pursued gun control as Barack Obama’s vice-president, your NRA is fully prepared to oppose whatever plans he may have to ‘defeat’ America’s largest and oldest civil rights organization and the fundamental liberties it protects,” it added in a recent blog post.

Gun-control advocacy groups are pushing both executive orders and legislative packages they believe will help lead to fewer deaths by gunfire.

While Democrats control both chambers of Congress in addition to the White House, they require some Republican support in the Senate to pass new legislation.

Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) and Ted Deutch (D-Fla.) on Feb. 14 also mourned the shooting anniversary.

“As we honor the anniversary of this tragedy, we must also find the strength as a nation to prevent such tragedies from ever being repeated. With President Biden in the White House, we finally have the opportunity to make real strides to end gun violence. No survivor should endure another year of inaction. The fear of mass gun violence for Americans doing the most normal of activities, as well as gun violence in too many neighborhoods across the country, must be brought to an end with congressional action,” Wasserman Schultz said in a statement.

“On this day, I recommit to ensure that the names of the 17 victims are never forgotten in the halls of Congress and to honor their memory with action that will make our communities safer from gun violence,” Deutch added.

WATCH:

President Trump loves the American people and enjoys connecting with his supporters.

In contrast, Joe Biden has contempt for the American voter and hid from the public the entire 2020 election and beyond.

Biden spent all weekend playing video games at Camp David and used ‘bad weather’ as an excuse to hide from the press until tomorrow.

While Trump is out with the people, Biden is disconnected from a country that supposedly was so enamored with him that they elected him in a historical landslide.

After Playing Mario Kart All Weekend at Camp David, Joe Biden Uses ‘Bad Weather’ as Excuse not to Interact with Press Until Tomorrow

After playing Mario Kart for three days at Camp David, Joe Biden is finally returning to the White House on Monday.

Joe Biden spent the weekend playing video games as thousands of Americans died of Covid-19.

The White House said that Joe Biden had nothing on his schedule for the entire weekend.

Due to a ‘bad weather call’ from the White House, Joe Biden will be motorcading from Camp David back to DC and won’t interact with the press until Tuesday.

Camp David is tucked away in the Maryland mountains and roughly 60 miles from the nation’s capital.

Previous Study on AccuVote Voting Machines Like Those Used in New Hampshire Found Serious Flaws and Ability to Steal Votes with Little Risk of Detection

A recent hand recount in the Rockingham District 7 NH House Race in Windham, New Hampshire, found that the Dominion-owned voting machines shorted EVERY REPUBLICAN by roughly 300 votes.

Via Facebook

The Dominion machine counted results were wrong for all 4 Republicans in Windham by almost exactly 300 votes or roughly 6% of their votes.

Granite Grok reported:

The Town of Windham used Dominion machines to count paper ballots and upon a believable hand recount, it was confirmed each Republican was machine-cheated out of roughly 300 votes.
You would think this would have been solved by the Dominion machine company, the Secretary of State, the Elections Unit of the AG’s Office, or the laughable Ballot Law Commission. (Kathy Sullivan, d (Term expires July 1, 2024)
Nope.
Just like every other state that used machines that alter ballot counts in favor of one political party over another – here we are.

Dominion Voting Systems owns the intellectual property of the AccuVote machines used in New Hampshire.

This should not be a surprise.

A previous study found that the Diebold AccuVote-TS Voting Machines are highly unreliable and susceptible to fraud.

From reader Bryan:

I saw your article. I knew that a single random voting district in New Hampshire was going to be analyzed, “to prove that there had not been any voting improprieties.” It was a promise made to a Republican poll watcher. That was in December. I did not know which one would be studied or when but I knew that they were going to look at a Dominion AccuVote machine. So I tried to find if anyone had ever examined the machines previously. Pay dirt! I’m still waiting to see if the state of New Hampshire will disclose the machine model and vintage year of manufacture, but here is what I found. I think you will find it interesting. The researchers have quite a pedigree.

A study performed on the Diebold AAccuVote-TS machines in 2006 found that the voting machines were able to easily steal votes. Anyone who has physical access to a voting machine, or to a memory card that will later be inserted into a machine, can install said malicious software using a simple method that takes as little as one minute.

MAIN FINDINGS

The main findings of our study are:
  1. Malicious software running on a single voting machine can steal votes with little risk of detection. The malicious software can modify all of the records, audit logs, and counters kept by the voting machine, so that even careful forensic examination of these records will find nothing amiss. We have constructed demonstration software that carries out this vote-stealing attack.
  2. Anyone who has physical access to a voting machine, or to a memory card that will later be inserted into a machine, can install said malicious software using a simple method that takes as little as one minute. In practice, poll workers and others often have unsupervised access to the machines.
  3. AccuVote-TS machines are susceptible to voting-machine viruses—computer viruses that can spread malicious software automatically and invisibly from machine to machine during normal pre- and post-election activity. We have constructed a demonstration virus that spreads in this way, installing our demonstration vote-stealing program on every machine it infects. Our demonstration virus spreads via the memory cards that poll workers use to transfer ballots and election results, so it propagates even if the machines are not networked.
  4. While some of these problems can be eliminated by improving Diebold’s software, others cannot be remedied without replacing the machines’ hardware. Changes to election procedures would also be required to ensure security.
The details of our analysis appear below, in the main body of this paper.
