Genetically engineered 'Magneto' protein remotely controls brain and behaviour
Researchers in the United States have developed a new method for controlling the brain circuits associated with complex animal behaviours, using genetic engineering to create a magnetised protein that activates specific groups of nerve cells from a distance.Understanding how the brain generates behaviour is one of the ultimate goals of neuroscience – and one of its most difficult questions. In recent years, researchers have developed a number of methods that enable them to remotely control specified groups of neurons and to probe the workings of neuronal circuits.
The most powerful of these is a method called optogenetics, which enables researchers to switch populations of related neurons on or off on a millisecond-by-millisecond timescale with pulses of laser light. Another recently developed method, called chemogenetics, uses engineered proteins that are activated by designer drugs and can be targeted to specific cell types.
Although powerful, both of these methods have drawbacks. Optogenetics is invasive, requiring insertion of optical fibres that deliver the light pulses into the brain and, furthermore, the extent to which the light penetrates the dense brain tissue is severely limited. Chemogenetic approaches overcome both of these limitations, but typically induce biochemical reactions that take several seconds to activate nerve cells.

The new technique, developed in Ali Güler’s lab at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, and described in an advance online publication in the journal Nature Neuroscience, is not only non-invasive, but can also activate neurons rapidly and reversibly.
Several earlier studies have shown that nerve cell proteins which are activated by heat and mechanical pressure can be genetically engineered so that they become sensitive to radio waves and magnetic fields, by attaching them to an iron-storing protein called ferritin, or to inorganic paramagnetic particles. These methods represent an important advance – they have, for example, already been used to regulate blood glucose levels in mice – but involve multiple components which have to be introduced separately.
The new technique builds on this earlier work, and is based on a protein called TRPV4, which is sensitive to both temperature and stretching forces. These stimuli open its central pore, allowing electrical current to flow through the cell membrane; this evokes nervous impulses that travel into the spinal cord and then up to the brain.
Güler and his colleagues reasoned that magnetic torque (or rotating) forces might activate TRPV4 by tugging open its central pore, and so they used genetic engineering to fuse the protein to the paramagnetic region of ferritin, together with short DNA sequences that signal cells to transport proteins to the nerve cell membrane and insert them into it.
When they introduced this genetic construct into human embryonic kidney cells growing in Petri dishes, the cells synthesized the ‘Magneto’ protein and inserted it into their membrane. Application of a magnetic field activated the engineered TRPV1 protein, as evidenced by transient increases in calcium ion concentration within the cells, which were detected with a fluorescence microscope.
Next, the researchers inserted the Magneto DNA sequence into the genome of a virus, together with the gene encoding green fluorescent protein, and regulatory DNA sequences that cause the construct to be expressed only in specified types of neurons. They then injected the virus into the brains of mice, targeting the entorhinal cortex, and dissected the animals’ brains to identify the cells that emitted green fluorescence. Using microelectrodes, they then showed that applying a magnetic field to the brain slices activated Magneto so that the cells produce nervous impulses.
To determine whether Magneto can be used to manipulate neuronal activity in live animals, they injected Magneto into zebrafish larvae, targeting neurons in the trunk and tail that normally control an escape response. They then placed the zebrafish larvae into a specially-built magnetised aquarium, and found that exposure to a magnetic field induced coiling manouvres similar to those that occur during the escape response. (This experiment involved a total of nine zebrafish larvae, and subsequent analyses revealed that each larva contained about 5 neurons expressing Magneto.)
In one final experiment, the researchers injected Magneto into the striatum of freely behaving mice, a deep brain structure containing dopamine-producing neurons that are involved in reward and motivation, and then placed the animals into an apparatus split into magnetised a non-magnetised sections. Mice expressing Magneto spent far more time in the magnetised areas than mice that did not, because activation of the protein caused the striatal neurons expressing it to release dopamine, so that the mice found being in those areas rewarding. This shows that Magneto can remotely control the firing of neurons deep within the brain, and also control complex behaviours.
Neuroscientist Steve Ramirez of Harvard University, who uses optogenetics to manipulate memories in the brains of mice, says the study is “badass”.
“Previous attempts [using magnets to control neuronal activity] needed multiple components for the system to work – injecting magnetic particles, injecting a virus that expresses a heat-sensitive channel, [or] head-fixing the animal so that a coil could induce changes in magnetism,” he explains. “The problem with having a multi-component system is that there’s so much room for each individual piece to break down.”
“This system is a single, elegant virus that can be injected anywhere in the brain, which makes it technically easier and less likely for moving bells and whistles to break down,” he adds, “and their behavioral equipment was cleverly designed to contain magnets where appropriate so that the animals could be freely moving around.”
‘Magnetogenetics’ is therefore an important addition to neuroscientists’ tool box, which will undoubtedly be developed further, and provide researchers with new ways of studying brain development and function.

La paciencia se empieza a acabar en muchos países de Europa y se está intentando empezar a poner coto y a perseguir a los responsables de la situación por la que estamos pasando. Recordemos que ya en España se ha presentado una denuncia ante la Corte Penal Internacional contra el estado español, entre otros.Ahora llega el turno de Suiza. Varias asociaciones han presentado una denuncia penal contra Martin Ackermann, jefe del Grupo de Trabajo Científico Nacional Covid-19 de Suiza y “posiblemente otras partes involucradas”, por asustar deliberada y exitosamente a la población de conformidad con el artículo 258 del Código Penal.
La denuncia penal ha sido presentada por cinco asociaciones y siete particulares y las acusaciones que se realizan contra Ackermann son las siguientes:
- Publicación repetida de pronósticos de terror inverosímiles sobre la utilización de camas de cuidados intensivos, con el objetivo de aterrorizar a la población y obligar a cumplir medidas más estrictas.
- Manipulación repetida y sistemática de datos de camas de UCI anteriores, presumiblemente con el objetivo de hacer que la situación actual parezca más dramática.
- Declaraciones falsas sobre hospitalizaciones y muertes. Con motivo de la rueda de prensa del Consejo Federal el 27 de octubre de 2020, Martin Ackermann comentó sobre la situación actual: “Hoy, Suiza tiene más hospitalizaciones y muertes por día que a mediados de marzo. Y los números siguen aumentando”, no siendo reales esos datos. Sin embargo, las cifras se corrigieron posteriormente al alza debido a los registros tardíos (que eran discutibles).
- Motivos en constante cambio para endurecer o mantener las medidas, según qué indicador se ajuste mejor a la narrativa deseada.
Hay que ir a por ellos y no dejarles tranquilos por mentir y aterrar a la población de la forma en la que lo están haciendo.

La EMA tiene registrados en España 19.722 casos de efectos secundarios provocados por las vacunas siendo Pfizer la que encabeza la lista
Como en España hay una censura terrible con todo este asunto de las vacunas tenemos que recurrir a los informes publicados en organismos internacionales para conocer cuál es la verdadera incidencia de la vacunación entre la población de nuestro país. Y aunque imaginamos que también habrá bastante censura, hemos recurrido a los datos ofrecidos por la Agencia Europea del Medicamento (EMA) para conocer los datos de los efectos secundarios denunciados en toda Europa a causa de las vacunas.Según la EMA, Pfizer tiene registrados en toda Europa un total de 179.658 casos con efectos secundarios. Nos llama la atención la diferencia de esos efectos secundarios entre hombres y mujeres ya que en mujeres se han denunciado 135.844 y en hombres 40.779.
En el caso de Moderna nos encontramos con que los efectos secundarios denunciados son un total de 25.849, también con mayor incidencia en mujeres con respecto a hombres, curiosamente más del 70% en todas las vacunas: 18.354 en mujeres y 7.349 en hombres.
Por otro lado, en el caso de AstraZeneca los efectos secundarios registrados suman un total de 222.071 casos. El 73,3% de estos casos los sufren también las mujeres, 162.874, siendo los casos denunciados en hombres un total de 53.710.
Ahora vayamos a los datos que la Agencia Europea del Medicamento tiene sobre los casos de efectos secundarios registrados en España.
En el caso de Pfizer, España ocupa el cuarto lugar en casos de efectos secundarios denunciados ante la EMA con un total de 11.670.
Con Moderna, el número de casos registrados en España es de 2.132, ocupando el segundo lugar de toda Europa.
Con la vacuna de AstraZeneca ocupamos el quinto lugar en número de casos con efectos secundarios ya que estos suman un total de 5.920.
Lo que no proporciona la EMA, al contrario de lo que hace el VAERS en Estados Unidos, es el número de casos en los que esos efectos secundarios han provocado la muerte de la persona inoculada o, por lo menos, nosotros no los hemos encontrado.
Lo que si podemos constatar, por los datos proporcionados de toda Europa, es que quienes más efectos secundarios sufren son las mujeres, suponemos que los datos serán similares en España. Esto nos preocupa ya que, tal y como denuncian muchos expertos, uno de los efectos secundarios que pueden provocar estas vacunas es la esterilidad.
Y ahora nos enteramos que Pedro Sánchez pretende comprar millones de vacunas de Pfizer porque son “las chachis”. Pues qué quieren que les digamos, ninguna es buena y esta parece ser tan mala o peor que las demás. Será que las comisiones son más altas.

The gist of the reporte was that COVID-19 is not nearly as deadly as first projected by the WHO and then by Dr. Tony Fauci and Dr. Debra Birx. Based on CDC numbers in Ausust only 6% of all deaths attributed to COVID-19 were instances where the only factor in the individual’s death was due to COVI9-19.

For all the other deaths reported by the CDC linked to COVID-19, the individuals who passed away had 2-3 other serious illnesses or co-morbidities.
This came from actual data from the CDC and was tweeted by Mel Q on Twitter.
Twitter user Mel Q shared a calculation which showed that 6% of all COVID-19 deaths as reported by the CDC turned out to be 9,201 deaths at the time.
Only 9,201 people died in the US according to August numbers where COVID-19 was the only cause of death.
We used Mel Q’s tweet in our report and the President of the United States retweeted Mel Q’s tweet as well.
But Twitter took down the tweet claiming fake news. They notified Mel Q that the tweet that used actual CDC data “violated their policy on misleading information about COVID-19.” Her account was suspended from posting for 12 hours.
Then the far left hacks at CNN wrote an article about this calculation, the President’s retweet and our article entitled – Twitter removes QAnon supporter’s false claim about coronavirus death statistics that Trump had retweeted. They refused to look at the science.
On Sunday CDC Director Rochelle Walensky finally admitted that “many, many hospitals” were counting COVID deaths to include cases that were not COVID deaths.
The Gateway Pundit was right.
Trump was right.
The tech giants and CNN were wrong again pushing fake news.
But we were the ones who were punished.
We see this a lot.

Están apareciendo cientos de vídeos en los que muchas personas, tras vacunarse, se pasan un imán por el brazo por el que les han pinchado y este imán queda sorprendentemente pegado en la zona en la que han sido inoculados. De una manera asombrosa, hay mucha gente que graba el vídeo y la situación les hace gracia, no podemos quedarnos más sorprendidos con la gente que reacciona de esta forma porque lo que los está pasando no es normal y es de todo menos bueno.Por eso no podemos evitar preguntarnos qué composición pueden llevar esas vacunas para que provoque una reacción como esa. No es ni medio normal que un imán se quede pegado en el brazo. Pero es que, además y como viene siendo tristemente habitual a lo largo de toda esta historia del virus, la gente ignora las advertencias de muchos expertos, en este caso sobre la radiación emitida por las antenas 5G, simplemente porque de eso no se habla en la televisión.
Para empezar creemos que es absolutamente necesario que a quienes les suceda eso con el imán acudan inmediatamente a su médico. Evidentemente, en la vacuna hay algún tipo de componente metálico que no creemos que sea ni mucho menos bueno para la salud.
Como, además, expertos como Ricardo de La Quinta Columna no van a ser nunca entrevistados por televisión, creemos que es necesario que se difunda su opinión sobre todo esto de forma inmediata. No se pierdan las intervenciones de una profesora y una sanitaria. Es muy importante lo que cuentan y muy revelador.
